ECUST Delegation Attend Saudi Aramco Global Board Reception

At the invitation of the Saudi Aramco Board of Directors, and on behalf of ECUST, Jiang Chuanhai, ECUST Party Secretary and Zhu Weihong, ECUST Vice President, attended first Global Board Reception of the company in Beijing on May 9th, themed “Prosperity in Partnership”.

At the Reception, Jiang Chuanhai and Zhu Weihong met with Saudi Aramco Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan. Jiang Chuanhai stated that East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) highly values its cooperation with Aramco and is honored to be the largest host university for Aramco-sponsored students in China. ECUST will continue to cultivate high-quality international education for Aramco’s engineering and technical talents, deepening cultural exchanges between China and Saudi Arabia. Al-Rumayyan thanked ECUST for its significant contribution to Aramco’s talent development and expressed anticipation for broader and deeper collaboration. Jiang Chuanhai also presented a group photo and handwritten thank-you letters from all Aramco-sponsored students at ECUST.

Saudi Aramco is Saudi Arabia’s sole state-owned oil company and one of the world’s largest integrated oil, gas, and petrochemical companies, ranking 4th on the 2024 Fortune Global 500 list. ECUST actively meets Aramco’s needs through a university-enterprise joint talent cultivation mechanism, training elite chemical engineers proficient in Chinese language and culture. Currently, 51 Aramco-sponsored students are studying at ECUST, the largest cohort in any Chinese university.
